Support for Careers

Welcome to Support for Careers a service of Children and Families of Iowa, established in 2020. We are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to access and sustain meaningful employment. Our firm belief is that lives are enriched through purposeful work, and often, resilient individuals who’ve faced challenges bring unique perspectives that positively impact both organizational culture and the economic landscape.

Ticket to Work

The Ticket to Work (Ticket) Program by Social Security is your gateway to career advancement if you’re between 18 and 64 years old, receiving Social Security disability benefits, and aspiring to work. This voluntary program is free of charge and provides invaluable support for individuals with disabilities to attain financial independence. Seamlessly connecting you with the services and guidance essential for success in the workforce, the Ticket Program is tailored for those who wish to enhance their earning potential. Whether you’re looking to improve your financial outlook or are committed to a long-term career journey, our program offers access to meaningful employment through authorized employment service providers.

Certified Benefits Planners

Navigating the intricate landscape of work and benefits is made simpler by our Certified Benefits Planners. These experts are here to help Social Security beneficiaries understand the impact of employment on their benefits, including cash, medical, housing, personal care services, and food benefits. By partnering with a benefits specialist, you’ll explore work incentives and develop a strategic plan to transition into the workforce seamlessly.

We are dedicated to not only fostering careers but nurturing empowerment, inclusion, and transformation. Join us on this journey towards a more inclusive workforce and a brighter future for all.
