Children & Families of Iowa’s Tango Gala 2020
Postponed Until a Later Date
April 3, 2020, Des Moines, Iowa – At the recommendation of local and state officials, the Foundation for Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) has made the determination that the Tango Gala will not be held as scheduled.
While this was a difficult decision, the health and safety of our attendees, community and staff are our top priority. At this difficult time we urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials. We hope to reschedule this event, however understand that the complexity of the current situation may require further changes in our strategy over the next few months.
We are very grateful to a number of our sponsors and donors who have approved the redirection of their Tango investments to the current most emergent needs of the organization in this time of crisis. All investors in this event will be contacted individually to discuss options. In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns please contact Heather L. Lee at [email protected].
The Tango Gala serves as CFI’s signature fundraising event and its postponement comes at a crucial time when CFI’s services are being utilized by more and more Iowans. These are times of high stress, increased anxiety levels, heightened emotions, and interpersonal conflicts for many individuals and families.
We ask those of you who are currently able to consider making a donation today to help offset the increased operating expenses that this health crisis has created. We need your help. CFI continues to restore hope, build futures and change lives in 2020! Donations can be made online at www.cfiowa.org or mailed to 1111 University Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50314.
