My name is Seva Felton, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I have been serving individuals and families at Children & Families of Iowa since 2017. I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2017 with a master’s degree in social work.
I’m passionate about providing clients with a trustworthy and non-judgmental environment to navigate life changes and achieve their goals. I take a client-centered and solution-focused therapeutic approach and believe in the importance of exploring systems that impact the individual. I use a combination of tools when supporting clients, and I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Play Therapy. I have experience working with individuals and families impacted by trauma, relationship conflicts, brain health challenges, and navigating complex systems. I work with clients age six and up and specialize in supporting college-age students. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and change for the better.
