Haley Miller, MSW intern

MSW intern

I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Human Services from the University of Iowa in 2024. I am currently completing my master’s of social work through the University of Iowa’s program in Des Moines.

Asking for help takes a lot of courage – I see you and I admire you. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and uplifting environment for you to feel heard and supported. My journey into therapy began with my own personal experiences with mental health. From there, I had a deep desire to help others navigate life’s many challenges.

My goal is to provide compassionate care for anyone who walks through my door. Instilling confidence in my clients is at the forefront of my mind, along with helping to navigate the healing journey one day at a time. No one said it would be easy, but it will always be worth it.

In my free time, I enjoy taking long walks while listening to podcasts. I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and our kitten, Mac. As an avid foodie, I love to try new restaurants around the Des Moines area. I’m a huge sports fan and grew up attending Hawkeye football games. Go Hawks! When it’s not football season, I’m keeping up with college basketball and the WNBA. I will graduate in May 2026, and I can’t wait for what’s to come. I’m thrilled to be here working and learning alongside Children & Families of Iowa.
