Devon LaMunyon, LMSW
Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
Hi, I’m Devon LaMunyon, LMSW, a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician at Children & Families of Iowa. I bring over 20 years of experience in the social work field, with a background in case management, career and educational pathway navigation, and supporting individuals through life’s many transitions.
I work with individuals aged 14 and up from all walks of life, and I have a special interest in supporting those who are, or have been, involved with the criminal justice system. My therapeutic approach is Trauma-Informed and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. This means I focus on creating a safe and supportive space where we can explore your thoughts and emotions, identify your strengths, and work toward meaningful and achievable goals. I tailor each person’s treatment based on their individual goals, needs, and preferences, because therapy should feel like it fits you.
I believe that healing and growth happen when people feel truly seen and heard. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, or simply seeking support, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and practical tools.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy being creative—whether that’s painting, woodworking, or spending time outdoors gardening, and going on walks.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to support you.
