Monetary gifts may be delivered through any of the following channels

• Hand delivered or mailed to the Foundation for Children & Families of Iowa office located at 1111 University Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50314.
• Donation made by credit card are available over the telephone by calling 515-697-7986.
• Online credit or debit card donations can be made here.

In-kind donations:

In-Kind donations reduce expenses for many of our programs. We accept in-kind donations by appointment only in order to limit traffic in our facilities and due to limitations with storage space.

Please contact the Foundation to learn more about needed items [email protected]. All donated items should be scheduled for drop off at 1111 University Avenue in Des Moines. Please call ahead to schedule a time to deliver items.

• Adult gloves, hats, scarves
• Ice scrapers
• Household cleaning supplies
• Personal care items
• Nonperishable Food Items

CFI’s clients always have a need for bus tokens, cab coupons, luggage, backpacks, tote bags, school supplies, baby formula, diapers and wipes, full-size toiletry items (shampoo, soap, deodorant, tooth paste), new personal care items (toothbrushes, hair brushes, combs, feminine hygiene products, etc.), and new socks and underwear of all sizes.

Organize an item drive

Invite your friends, family, co-workers, or customers to purchase items for clients served by one of CFI eligible programs which include Domestic Violence Shelter and Outreach, Child Development Center, Human Services, and others. Drive examples include: personal care items, diapers and wipes, new twin size sheets and blankets, pillows and pillow cases, new women’s under garments (all sizes), Children’s socks/shoes and snow boots, non-perishable food, and paper products.
