May 15, 2017, Des Moines, Iowa – The fifth annual Family Tees Golf Tournament, a family-focused golf fundraising event held by the Foundation for Children & Families of Iowa, is scheduled for Monday, June 19, 2017. The inter-generational golf tournament will be held at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona, Iowa, with proceeds from the event benefiting the programs of Children & Families of Iowa (CFI), which provide important services to individuals and families throughout Iowa.

Family Tees provides an opportunity for family members, friends and coworkers to golf together, while supporting CFI’s mission to restore hope, build futures and change lives. There are three flights: flights one and two are two-person (youth and adult) best-shot format for teams with youth ages five through 14 years old. Flight three is a four-person scramble for teams with golfers 15 years and older. Tee times and registration fees vary by flight. Lunch, donated by Legends American Grill, will be served from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. To register or learn more about the event, please visit www.cfiowa.org/events.

“Given Children & Families of Iowa is very family-oriented, it is fitting that we provide valuable opportunities for families to collectively make a difference in our community,” said Amy Stapp-Arpy, CDO/VP of Development and Communications at CFI. “We are fortunate to receive generous support from Terrace Hills, sponsors and golfers during this tournament – support that helps CFI continue offering opportunities and services to children and families throughout Iowa.”
