CFI’s Tango Gala honorary co-chairs announced

May 22, 2017, Des Moines, Iowa – Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) is pleased to announce that Joyce and Rick Chapman of Des Moines will serve as the honorary 2017 Tango Gala co-chairs. The visionary couple will host the premiere fundraising event, scheduled for Friday, July 28, 2017.

The Chapmans are Iowa natives with a decorated history of civic and philanthropic efforts throughout the state of Iowa. After many years of successful leadership within the banking industry, Joyce retired in 2006 as Executive Vice President at West Bank and Executive Director West Bancorporation Foundation, leaving a profound legacy defined by vision, service and work ethic. Rick was a professor at Des Moines Area Community College for 34 years, with a passion for helping both traditional and nontraditional students reach success in academic and vocational pursuits.

“CFI is very proud to have the Chapmans serve as our honorary co-chairs,” said Amy Stapp-Arpy, CDO/VP of Development and Communications at CFI. “Both have an excellent background of service and genuine interest in the future of our state. We are grateful for their leadership.”

CFI’s 2017 Tango Gala is scheduled for Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel. An evening of fun, food, live music, and auctions, the Gala generates funding for programs of CFI through the generous support of sponsors and donors attending the event.
