August 7, 2015, Des Moines, IA – Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) hosted 224 guests at the 13th annual Tango gala benefitting programs that help at-risk children and families. Guests enjoyed dancing to music provided by Final Mix, a buffet of hors d’oeuvres and bidding on spectacular live and silent auction items. The event raised over $127,000 for CFI programs benefitting at-risk Iowans. Tango was held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Sheraton in West Des Moines.

Auction items included trips to Panama, Mexico, Colorado, Florida and Kansas City; as well as jewelry, sports packages and spa treatments just to name a few.

“Tango is a wonderful opportunity for people to enjoy a night out while giving back to vulnerable families in their community who are struggling with daily life.” says Amy Stapp-Arpy, CFI’s Chief Development Officer/Vice President of Development and Communications. “We had a great crowd and are very thankful to everyone who chose to come out in support of those in need.”

Our deepest appreciation goes out to our sponsors, including a special thank you to Tango level sponsors Meredith Corporation, Hy-Vee, Connie Wimer and Frank Fogarty, Principal Financial Group and Nationwide Insurance: Honorary chairs Connie Wimer and Frank Fogarty for their leadership and commitment to restoring hope for at-risk Iowans, and to all who helped make this event a success.
