June 2, 2015, Des Moines, Iowa – Gather the children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, polish up the golf clubs, and join Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) for the third annual Family Tees Inter-generational Golf Tournament on Monday, June 22 at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona.
Family Tees offers a wonderful opportunity for families to be active and play together while supporting the important mission of Children & Families of Iowa. Three separate flights are broken down by the age of the youngest player. If the kids are unable to participate, you can still enjoy the tournament with friends and co-workers. Flights 1 and 2 are two person best-shot format for teams with a golfer between 5 and 14 years old. Flight 3 is a four person scramble for teams with golfers 15 years and over.
“The Foundation for Children & Families of Iowa’s Family Tees Golf Tournament is designed to encourage participants to spend quality time with family and friends in a healthy and active way,” says Children & Families of Iowa’s Chief Development Officer/VP of Development and Communications, Amy Stapp-Arpy. “For the last 127 years Children & Families of Iowa has been restoring hope, building futures and changing lives as we help Iowa’s most at-risk families who are struggling to stay together. Proceeds from this event will support the programs that have been successful in helping Iowans since 1888.”
Tee times and registration fees vary by flight. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. For additional information or to register visit www.cfiowa.org. Teams and rankings will also be available online within one week of the event.
A special thank you to the generous sponsors who made this event possible: Ahlers & Cooney, Bernie Lowe and Associates, EMC National Life, Laser Resources Incorporated, Terrace Hills Golf Course, West Bank and Wright Tree Service.
