Des Moines, Iowa – Princesses and their chaperones spent Saturday morning enjoying all sorts of princess inspired activities at Children & Families of Iowa’s (CFI) 2014 Princess Party.

Held at Jordan Creek Town Center, this event raised over $23,500. More than 775 attendees enjoyed breakfast provided through the generosity of Panera Bread, participated in crafts and activities, and posed for photos with their favorite princesses. Adults had the opportunity to participate in a raffle as well as a silent auction for wonderful prizes including a Walt Disney World trip, princess inspired furniture, and a stay-cation package at Ramada Tropics Resort just to name a few. Additional activities included children’s glamour spa packages and professional photos with the Snow Queen and Ice Princess.

“Last year our programs helped over 11,000 children from all across Iowa. With support from sponsors and the community we have been able to create an event that is not only fun, but also one from which dollars raised go directly to fund programs that serve thousands of struggling families throughout Iowa. Contributions raised at CFI’s Princess Party provide the programs with support needed to help clients become self-sufficient,” says Amy Stapp-Arpy, CFI’s Chief Development Officer/VP of Development and Communications.

CFI would like to thank the generous sponsors and supporters who help make the Princess Party a success: Panera Bread, Bella K Photography, Iowa School of Beauty, Jordan Creek Town Center, Laser Resources and Little Princess Parties.
