Des Moines, Iowa – Seventy-six golfers of all ages participated in Children & Families of Iowa’s (CFI) second annual Family Tees Inter-generational Golf Tournament on Friday, June 27 at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona.
The tournament celebrated families and many teams consisted of a child and parent or other family member. “We were happy to provide a local golfing event dedicated to promoting quality family time and healthy activity, all while helping Iowa’s at-risk children and families,” says Children & Families of Iowa’s Chief Development Officer/Vice President of Development and Communications Amy Stapp-Arpy.
Golfers enjoyed time with family and friends as they spent the day on the course. Lunch was provided by Legends American Grill, and family-friendly raffle prizes were given away. More than $13,300 was raised with proceeds benefiting CFI programs that provide critical services to at-risk Iowans.
A special thanks to sponsors including Whole Foods Market, Ahlers & Cooney, West Bank, Wright Outdoor Solutions, Bernie Lowe & Associates, Inc., Casey’s General Store and Terrace Hills Golf Course.
