Des Moines, Iowa –Polish up the golf clubs, gather the kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, and join Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) for the second annual Family Tees Golf Tournament, an inter-generational golf tournament, on Friday, June 27 at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona.
Family Tees is designed to celebrate families by providing a golf tournament that the entire family can enjoy together. Four separate flights are broken down by the age of the youngest player. If the kids aren’t able to participate, you can still enjoy the tournament with friends or coworkers by signing up for the adult’s only flight.
“Again this summer we are hosting the Family Tees Golf Tournament designed to encourage participants to spend quality time with family and friends in a healthy and active way,” says Children & Families of Iowa’s Chief Development Officer/Vice President of Development and Communications, Amy Stapp-Arpy. “For the last 126 years Children & Families of Iowa has been restoring hope, building futures and changing lives as we help Iowa’s most at-risk families recover, renew and thrive. We couldn’t have done it without the support of the community. Proceeds from this event will support the very programs that have been successful in helping over 728,200 Iowans since 1888.”
Tee times and registration fees vary by flight. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Teams and rankings will also be available online within one week of the event.
