Des Moines, Iowa − Enjoy a spectacular night of entertainment while benefiting a good cause by attending Children & Families of Iowa’s (CFI) 11th annual Tango event on Saturday, August 17 at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines.
Guests at the popular social event can enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, dancing to live music by Decoy, casino gaming and the chance to bid on exceptional items at the live and silent auctions. Items up for bid include trips to California, Las Vegas and Hawaii, skybox tickets to an Iowa Cubs baseball game, and a party for 12 at Johnny’s Hall of Fame Sports Bar. Tickets for the event are priced at $125 in tribute of CFI’s 125th anniversary.
Funds raised at the event will benefit CFI’s Domestic Violence Services and other programs that provide support to the thousands of at-risk children and families the organization serves every year. Last year Tango raised over $164,000 for CFI programs serving those in need.
“CFI helped more than 17,400 individuals last year alone, proving how crucial it is that these programs receive the support they need,” says Amy Stapp-Arpy, CFI Director of Development and Communications. “Contributions raised at Tango are a major source of funding and provide the programs with the support needed to help clients become self-sufficient.”
We appreciate our events committee and the volunteers that make this event special. Thank you to honorary chairs Sharon and Kyle J. Krause for their continued support and involvement. Event committee members include Kelley Engstrom, Gloria Filean, Carla Gillotti, Karen Goldsworth, Stacie Hatch, Lynsey Oster and Jill Thompson Hansen.
