Des Moines, Iowa – Gather the kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, polish up those golf clubs and join Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) for the Family Tees Golf Tournament, an inter-generational golf tournament, on Friday, June 28 at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona.
Children & Families of Iowa is celebrating 125 years of restoring hope, building futures and changing lives for Iowans this year. Family Tees was designed to help celebrate this milestone and encourage a fun celebration with family involvement. Four separate flights are broken down by the age of the youngest player. If the kids all have plans for the day, you can still enjoy the tournament with friends or coworkers by signing up for the adults only flight.
“We’re proud to be celebrating 125 years of helping Iowa’s at-risk families recover, renew and thrive. We couldn’t have done it without the support of the community and what better way to celebrate this achievement than by hosting an event designed to encourage participants to spend quality time with family and friends in a healthy and active way,” says Children & Families of Iowa’s Director of Development & Communications, Amy Stapp-Arpy. “Proceeds from this event will support the very programs that have been successful in helping over 750,000 Iowans.”
Tee times and registration fees vary by flight. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
A special thanks to all tournament sponsors including West Bank, Crystal Clear Bottled Water and LWBJ, LLP as well as Terrace Hills Golf Course and Laser Resources.
