Des Moines, Iowa – Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) is pleased to be a recipient of the Prairie Meadows Legacy Grant for the amount of $100,000 for the Building Futures Capital Campaign.
The grant will specifically be used to make much needed improvements to seven metro area facilities. The goal for the campaign is $3.4 million. A 12 member campaign cabinet was selected along with tri-chairs: Jeff M. Rommel, Allied/Nationwide Insurance; Daniel J. Houston, Principal Financial Group; and J. Scott Johnson, Wells Fargo.
“Children & Families of Iowa plays a critical role in helping several thousand at-risk families each year,” says Julie Stewart, Prairie Meadows Director of Community Relations. “This aligns with Prairie Meadow’s dedication to improve the quality of life for all Iowans and, in general, to promote social welfare.”
Since 1989, Prairie Meadows has supported a range of nonprofit organizations in hopes to provide qualified organizations the funding necessary to improve the quality of life for the enrichment of the citizens of Polk County and surrounding areas.
“Children & Families of Iowa is very grateful for the ongoing support we receive from Prairie Meadows,” says Amy Stapp-Arpy, CFI Director of Development & Communications. “They have supported our efforts for both the Building Futures Capital Campaign as well as our annual campaign. These funds will allow CFI to continue providing services that help individuals and families learn how to help themselves.”
