February 6, 2017, Des Moines, Iowa – Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) is pleased to announce the addition of Hy-Vee as the Platinum Sponsor for the 2017 Kidsfest presented by Veridian Credit Union. As the Platinum Sponsor, Hy-Vee will host daily demonstrations and games during the event to teach families about health and wellness through its Hy-Vee KidsFit program.
Kidsfest will take place March 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., March 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and March 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Iowa State Fairground’s Varied Industries Building. Kidsfest activities will include multiple stages with shows throughout the day, including a return appearance by the Turtles on Saturday and Sunday; Kidsfest Klues with a chance to win prizes; face painting; inflatables; kids’ glamour spa; circus train; photo opportunities; fingerprint photo ID booth; Toddler Town; Family Flags Craft area; and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Star Wars and superhero characters as well as their favorite princesses.

Kidsfest tickets are $7.50 per person per day. Discount coupons are available at the customer service counter at any of the Hy-Vee stores in the Des Moines area through March 5. Children one and younger are free. Proceeds from Kidsfest ticket sales support CFI programs that help children and families in Iowa.
